Our mission is to promote a more inclusive learning experience about America's diverse history in a FUN, creative, educational, yet entertaining method. Thus, generating harmony and understanding...just what our nation needs - NOW!
Our company founder is a Healthcare Information Technology (IT) consultant and small business owner with over forty years of experience providing software systems engineering and educational programming by working for hospitals and clinic facilities, traveling nationwide in this profession!
In addition to her IT consulting work, about three years ago, she renewed her skills in sewing and crafting, as well as her lifelong passion for a more inclusive telling of America's diverse history. To accomplish these goals, she began developing and implementing an online store on the Etsy online store platform - www.HistoryWearz.etsy.com - and WOW!...it's been overwhelmingly well-received by customers nationwide (internationally as well.) At this site, many types of her original designs of historical costumes for adults and children are available for sale. Also available are her original designs/creations of historical and current trending dolls and doll clothes - "Making child's play history". These items have been purchased and are available for customers nationwide and worldwide!
In March 2017, she became a member of the African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) www.infoaambc.org She initiated and named the Creative Arts Committee, subsequently she developed, produced, and implemented the following programs through this committee:
October 2017: Membership meeting, alternative Halloween costumes presentation based on American history makers entitled: “History“ween - say Who? not Boo!
February 2018: Black History Month Reenactment Program presented at the First Baptist Church of Langhorne, featuring history makers; Phyllis Wheatley, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, the Buffalo Soldiers, and the mostly unknown American Revolution soldiers of African Descent...many who served with General George Washington's Continental Army of Valley Forge , Pennsylvania!
September 2018: The Bensalem AME 200 Year Anniversary Celebration, historical reenactment program entitled: “1818 – 2018 History Makers Walk” Reenactment Program. This program was a wonderful reflection of over a dozen history makers throughout this time period produced to coincide with the rich history of this Bucks County Church!
March 2019: Women History Makers – Bucks County and Beyond - Women's History Month Lecture. This was a wonderful educational and interactive program, hosted at the Bucks Visitor Center www.visitbuckscounty.com and sponsored by the AAMBC and Comcast! Our company founder facilitated this 2-hour ("sold out event"). She shared with her audience "Her-story" - https://www.visitbuckscounty.com/blog/post/yardley-through-the-years-the-lee-family-part-1/ This was also a fun and informative opportunity for learning about many other "hidden figures" from Bucks County, Pa. Her mission includes sharing her knowledge and discovery of people, places, events and facts not so well known by the general public and/or buried in the historical archives!
Our current goal is to expand the capabilities of these programs through America's History Live. We plan to continue to make these well received "Edutainment" programs available to all who seek to receive them; schools, community-based organizations, senior citizen groups, and other adult organizations and groups. Please review our products and services and we look forward to your response!
